It’s fall but that doesn’t mean you have to be stuck indoors! Lots of women loved to spend time gardening. Depending on your locale and climate, gardening can be either a seasonal or year round hobby. I live on the East Coast and our gardening season starts in late March or April depending on how severe the winter weather has been, and continues through the fall with lovely autumn mums and other hardier plants. And don’t forget the pumpkins and fall veggies!
But just as soon as it seems safe to put a few hardy flowers in the ground in the early spring, I see neighbors out planting little spots of color. Of course the early spring bulbs add their bits too, like Crocuses and Daffodils. Everyone takes such pleasure in looking for that first bit of color to come up each year!
I used to be a California girl however, and gardening was year round. There was always something you could plant and count on to add some winter color and greenery.
Wherever and whenever you do your gardening, it’s a sure bet that you are proud of what you produce and happy to spend a little time outdoors.
